Vaccine rollout success boosts international student confidence in UK study
27 April 2021
The success of the vaccine rollout in the UK has boosted international students interest in studying in the UK from September 2021, a new poll has found.
The survey of over 100,000 students planning to study abroad was conducted by QS and found that 47% of prospective international students said they would be more likely to choose to study in the UK because of the rate of vaccinations in the country, whilst 17% said they thought the government was handling the rollout better than anywhere else. The UK was more popular than the US, Canada, Australia and Germany.
Of the results, a spokesman for QS said: "The effectiveness and speed of the rollout is making the UK seem a more attractive and viable destination to begin their studies in September compared to some other countries.”
